ABOUT OUR EVENT
5 Events and Counting
Colder Than Carbonite has been Edmonton Infinity's premier ITS event since 2016. In the dark days of February 2018, over 40 players from Edmonton, Calgary, and across Alberta descended upon a snowy community hall in Edmonton to compete in a two day, five round ITS event. Join Edmonton Infinity on Feb 15-17 for the 2019 version of one of the most laid back events in the system. Registration is open now!
Where?
Colder Than Carbonite takes place in Edmonton Alberta. The event will be hosted at the Wellington Park Community Hall, located here:
13440 132a St NW, Edmonton, AB T5L 1W3
GENERAL EVENT RULES
LOF is reciprocal. That’s in the rulebook. Be honest and open.
ITS rules state that LOF must be marked on the base. We’re soft on this rule, but if you are the owner of an unmarked base and there’s confusion, it’s expected that you will accept your opponent’s interpretation of your LOF. (You’re the one who didn’t mark it, after all)
You will need to bring the following:
A hard copy of both of your lists. It will be checked for compliance to ITS rules when you sign in.
Opponent copies of your lists (select the option from the army builder drop down)
Dice, markers, and templates required for play
Proxies can be confusing; use them sparingly and sensibly. Here’s some examples: a.“I’m playing USARF. This Hunzakut is standing in for a foxtrot.” (Note how easy it is for the opponent to remember that the Hunzakut is obviously not a Hunzakut) b.“I’m playing Tohaa. This Kamael, who’s aiming, is my Kaeltar. This Kamael, who looks like James Woods, is my Gao Rael spitfire. These other Kamaels are just Kamaels." (Note how disastrously complex this is)
If you honestly don’t know if your proxies are confusing, assume that they are.
Respect each other’s models. “Touch not, lest ye be touched!”
In the event of a rules problem, consult the rulebooks and FAQ. If that doesn’t solve your issue, you can summon a judge. The judge will do his best to interpret a fair resolution, and may even go so far as to cite an online ruling. If that is a problem, do not call a judge.
Rounds are 2 hours. Dice will be down at the 120 minute mark.
